Get Moving With Elev8d Fitness: Carmel, Indiana

This Valentines Day, we visited a middle school in Carmel, Indiana for a day of Elev8d workouts! Our Elev8d trainers took four groups of teachers through two eight-minute workouts. Here are a few testimonials post-workout.

My body really feels good! I know that I have a posture issue, I lean forward. I feel a bit more straight. I don’t [often] get into the position where I’m standing tall and my spine is straight. But I feel a difference now. I like it. I’ve never heard of something that is just eight minutes. I’m a new dad so maximizing [my] time is good.

My body feels better than it did before I started. I feel stretched out, not so tight, and my back feels better. I have a lot of tension in my back and shoulders from sitting and grading, just stress in general wrecks my body. [Elev8d is] quick! The whole workout was quick. I liked Bird Dog. It felt great on my back and shoulders.

My body feels good. I’d like to do more! No, really. I really liked it because I have a bad knee and I didn’t feel at all like I was straining it. Sometimes squats make me nervous. I’m pretty much on my feet all day. I have two kids so I don’t have [a lot of] time. So the eight minutes is really appealing to me.

It actually feels really good. My muscles feel loose. My heart rate is up a little bit but I’m not out of breathe. I just feel good. It was pretty short! It’s something I can do at the end of the day when I get home from school, I can even do it in my classroom before I head home. I’m constantly on my feet, walking around my classroom, working with students, I don’t have a lot of downtime. I get home, I lesson plan, and I grade. So time is important for me. I don’t have a lot of it during the school year.

My wife and I just had our first child. So I haven’t done anything for a while. [The workout] was good. It was a lot more challenging than I thought it was going to be. And quick! I think that’s doable for just about anybody. I think it is really good, especially if you are pressed for time. Any sort of all out exercise for any amount of time and it’s going to be a really good workout. I liked how things were mixed up and the emphasis was on alignment and core. I liked it a lot.

[My body] feels good! In just a short amount of time I feel like there was a good amount of over all work—especially for me, the upper body. I felt it in the abs and the hips. In just 8 minutes it feels like everything was worked out, total-body. I told myself this year, my resolution was to be a better, overall health. [As a runner] I can see myself using this as a warm-up or a cool-down.
